Tennessee swimming & diving landed a program-record seven Vols and Lady Vols on the 2022-23 Academic All-District Teams, College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced Tuesday.

The selected athletes were Luke Brice, Brooklyn Douthwright, Josephine Fuller, Griffin Hadley, Kara Holt, Mona McSharry and Gus Rothrock. Brice and Holt both earned All-District honors last season as well.

Previously known as CoSIDA, the teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and the classroom. Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America selections will be announced in March.

Holt is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in Neuroscience and owns a perfect 4.00 GPA. She earned a spot on the 2022 CoSIDA Academic All-America Third Team. She's a three-time CSCAA Scholar All-America honoree and three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll selection. The senior diver has qualified for the NCAA Zone B Championships all four years of her Tennessee career. In addition to her success in the classroom and the pool, Holt was a member of the 2022 SEC Community Service Team and has totaled 102.5 hours of community service throughout her time on Rocky Top. She was a member of the 2022 VOLeaders Class.

Brice double majored and earned his bachelor's degrees in History & Geography, finishing with a 3.93 GPA, and is currently completing his master's in Geography, boasting a 3.90 GPA. The 2022 CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree is a two-time CSCAA Scholar All-America Team selection and three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll recipient. He recently competed at the 2023 SEC Championships, where he placed seventh overall as an A finalist in 100 fly.

A Kinesiology major with a 3.61 GPA, McSharry added to her already impressive and decorated career with the Lady Vols. The 2020 Tokyo Olympian is coming off her best SEC Championships yet, sweeping the breaststrokes and earning silver in the 50 free. During her career, she's a 14-time SEC Championships medalist, six-time All-American, three-time SEC Champion and two-time All-SEC selection. She was tabbed to the 2021 CSCAA Scholar All-America First Team and is a two-year selection for the SEC Academic Honor Roll.

Majoring in Psychology with a 3.94 GPA, Fuller was a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team selection and SEC Academic Honor Roll recipient as a freshman in 2022. She's a two-time All-American and seven-time SEC Championships medalist. At this year's meet, Fuller enjoyed plenty of success, winning silver in the 100 back, 200 back and 200 IM. The Tennessee record holder in the 200 back (1:50.12) won 10 individual events as a sophomore.

Excelling in the pool and in the classroom, Douthwright is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, owning a 3.91 GPA. The 2022 CSCAA Scholar All-America First Team selection recently earned the title of SEC Champion in the 200 free after winning silver in the event last year as a freshman. In addition to making the SEC Academic Honor Roll last year, she was also tabbed to the All-SEC second team and SEC All-Freshman team.

Hadley is a sophomore in Journalism & Electronic Media and boasts a 3.83 GPA. As a freshman in 2022, he earned a spot on the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team and the SEC Academic Honor Roll. In the pool, he competed in nine meets throughout the season with his top times being 47.84 in the 100 back and 1:45.62 in the 200 back. Outside of the pool, Hadley wants to be a sports broadcaster when he finishes college. As a freshman, he earned the opportunity to call the prelims sessions for the 2022 SEC Championships. The following summer, he was the primary broadcaster for the Indiana High School State Championships. He is a current member of the 2023 VOLeaders Class.

A Supply Chain Management major with a 3.74 GPA, Rothrock was selected for the 2022 CSCAA Scholar All-America Team as well as the SEC Academic Honor Roll. In the pool this season, the sophomore posted four top-two finishes, including a win in the 200 IM against Louisville.

Overall, the Lady Vols boast 17 All-District selections, while the Vols have earned 15 All-District honors. The most selections in a single year for the men or women was two prior to this season. Previously, swimming & diving was a part of the at-large category for CoSIDA Academic All-America. This is the first year in which the sport became its own separate category.
